In medieval Wales, a Cyfarwydd was much more than an entertainer. Translating to "one who knows," they were the living archives of their community—master storytellers, historians, and trusted guides who preserved collective memory and human wisdom.

In Japanese, Ren (練) represents the relentless pursuit of mastery: continuous practice, refining, and perfecting a craft through dedication.

We combined these two heritage concepts to form RenCyfar.
